Identity Crisis

So recently, I started to growl when I'm hungry. I've heard that Mommy used to when she was little and I thought it was a pretty good idea, but sometimes I wonder if I'm a lion or a Katie girl...

And sometimes people just wonder if I'm Mommy's clone.....

What a Weekend!!

What a busy weekend!! Mommy used to be our only July birthday. For 16 years. Then everyone decided that July was a good month to have a birthday. So I had my first 3 birthday parties this weekend!!

Brandi had her party at Daniel's Park on Friday. It was a lot of fun, but no one would share their ice cream (or pizza and wings, for that matter!!) with me.... Bummer!! They looked pretty tasty. I did get to watch Shaun juggle - wow!! He's pretty talented. And I told Baby Matthew that he needed to come out and meet us (which he finally did this morning!!!).

Then on Saturday, we had Honey's birthday party. She had a lot of fun. She got to dress up like a princess and everything. But before she turned into a princess, we were twins for the day!! She was trying to give me a smooch, but man those straps on her dress were looking tasty!! I had already attacked mine earlier.... Not too bad. Could use some chocolate though. Or maybe just some peaches or pears...
Then on Sunday, it was Mommy's birthday (but, shhh!!! Don't tell anyone!!). We went to Nana and Papa's for ice cream. Well, I got formula, everyone else got ice cream. I got to spend lots of time with Grandma, too. She got to see how I love to stand up all the time. No more laying down for me!!
It was an exhausting weekend. All I wanted to do Monday was sleep.

My First Trip to Progressive Field

Katie made it to her first Indians' game on Saturday night. It was a family outing. Nana, Papa, Aunt Court, Uncle Jason, Aiden, Aunt Shan, Uncle Shane and Mikayla all came with us!! It was Mikayla's first game, too!! Aiden's an old pro - he went to FOUR games last year!! Lucky kid... But Mikayla and Katie got certificates for their first trip to Progressive Field (still hard for Mommy not to call it the Jake....).

There were fireworks after the game, but we didn't stay for the fireworks. We did get to watch a great game, though. The Indians won!! Their third win in a row. Both Grady and Ryan Garko hit homeruns!! Maybe the second half of the year will be better for them.

Mommy and Daddy had to miss the first few innings because it was too hot in our seats, but Nana and Papa took their place for a little while - and I took a little nap on Nana. :)

We had a lot of fun, but I can't wait until next year when I can get some of that ice cream Mommy and Daddy were eating - it sure looked good!! It dripped on the back of my shirt - too bad it was the back, I might have been able to suck it out if it had been on the front. Maybe next time.....

Must Have Food!!

Katie has discovered that food is good. Very good. She loves her veggies - carrots, sweet potatoes, squash and green beans so far - Mommy's holding off on the peas just a little bit longer..... :)

"First I need my bottle - I think I can handle this one, Dad."

"Now Mommy, just keep it comin'!!"

"Oh yeah, now that's what I call a meal!!"

And here's Katie's first taste of carrots.

Katie's Going High Tech!!

OK, so maybe Katie isn't but Mommy is!! I figured since we have Grandparents in Jersey, an aunt and uncle in Colorado and family and friends all over the place, we should get some pics and maybe even some video up on-line along with some Katie updates.

Katie will be 4 months tomorrow (where did the time go!?!?). She is up to 10 lbs. 12 oz. and 23 1/2" long. Yesterday she got her first taste of carrots. She did pretty good. I'm not looking forward to the days of peas, but Greg has already said he'll handle pea duty!!

And she rolled from her stomach to her back twice on Friday. She kept trying to do it again, but then just gave up. :)
She is an incredibly happy and observant baby. This morning, she was watching the door when Greg came over to the door to take her out. She loves checking everything out. This morning she was laying on the bed while we were getting ready just checking out the fan, smiling and babbling away!!

Go Tribe!! Hey, someone has to root for them.....

Seriously, when will these people feed me?!?!
